The Logo Package covers all the necessary steps to create a successful custom logo and to establish a visual starting point for your brand. Beginning with a blank page, we keep it simple by focusing on how to best showcase the main logo visual. The Logo Package is also suitable for those wanting to update or refresh a current logo. There may already be an overall brand and aesthetic created that an updated logo needs to fit into and complement.

The Brand Package expands beyond the standard elements of creating a logo, think “big picture”. We develop a brand library to maximize your aesthetic footprint across multiple applications. There is no one-size-fits-all formula for creating a brand, so every item below may not fit the needs or wants of the client. With a Brand Package, you are investing in a higher quantity of time and attention for a larger vision and scope of work.

Logo + Branding Process

consultation

Once a package is selected and provided in writing, we will connect to discuss your goals and a timeline before fully diving into design work. This can be done over the phone or in person. We want to best understand the vision for your brand and business. It’s very helpful when a client can provide visual examples of what they like and don’t like, the actual products they will be marketing, and/or share a pinterest vision board.

three rounds of revisions

Each review will most likely over the phone reading through the PDF in live time OR the review will be sent via email with a follow-up phone call to discuss feedback. It’s always helpful to have screen access when we are on the phone together so specific pages in the PDF can be referenced.

In the first review, three different concepts are presented. Ideally, only one or two directions are selected as the process moves forward.

The second review presents refined executions of the chosen one or two concepts. Sometimes concepts from the first review are combined together. It’s not as common, but an entirely new fourth concept can be introduced if the first three didn’t make the mark. The objective after the second review is to select one concept and take final notes on revisions.

The goal of the third review is to receive final approval and sign off that the logo is finished. If the client is satisfied, the remaining payment is due and the final logo files are prepared to be digitally delivered.

file delivery

After receiving final payment, professional files are prepared and organized to be handed off via email. These include .jpg, .png, .eps and .ai files. A helpful guide for file types is provided. Additional file formats are available upon request.

payment

An initial payment of $250 is required for scheduling and design work to begin. This initial payment is non-refundable. Once designs are finalized, the remaining payment for the selected package is required. After the complete payment is received, final files are delivered.

Payments can be made via Venmo or check. Checks are to be payable to “Le Cle Studio” Venmo payments can be sent to @aubrey-dosmann

Please refer to the Le Cle Studio Terms and Conditions for further details.  By providing approval to commence your project and/or any payment made by you, you accept and agree to be bound by such Terms and Conditions.

All prices and payments are in US Dollars.

timeline

Although every project is different, most projects take a least a month from the design start time. After receiving feedback, it typically takes about a week on the design side to present another review. Clients can take anywhere from hours to days to evaluate presented designs and provide feedback. It often depends on how quickly decisions are made and how many client eyes need to review design work. Regardless of the small details, we always strive to meet your deadlines for a project.

additional reviews

If more revisions are needed and noted in the third review, a fourth review is scheduled once an additional $100 payment has been received. Every additional review requires a $100 payment and does not lower the final payment due before files are handed off.

Logo + Branding Elements

main logo

The primary visual for your business and your go-to graphic. It should incorporate all of the need-to-know information while also representing the desired aesthetic style.

White/Reverse Logo

Every successful logo should operate in a one color application. This is best described as a white logo on a colorful background or a logo “reversed” out of a background. A white/reverse logo is very useful for applications when using only one color is beneficial.

For example, when printing anything on merchandise like T-shirts, tote bags, or pens, printing in only one color is typically more cost-effective than printing two colors.

secondary logos

Secondary logos are other variations of your main logo that include more or less information that may be better suited for certain applications. They build a family of logos around a designated main logo. Icons, logos with taglines and badges are all common alternative or secondary logos.

brand images

Stock images are a great asset to have within your brand library. Maybe you don’t currently have images for your business, or maybe you’re not thrilled with the photography you do have. We will collect a group of stock images to represent your brand. Whether the images are an essential part of your brand, or if they are just images to post on social media with a caption, they expand the visual language of your brand. At the very least, they can operate as inspiration or a “mood board” for your aesthetic.

All stock images selected and shared by LE CLÉ STUDIO will be from sources with proper copyright permissions.

This includes 5-10 stock images in .jpg format.

business card + stationery design

Are business cards, letterhead or stationery the next items on your to-do list? Designs for any or all of these needs can be created for you and your new brand. This includes design only, for actual production, separate LE CLÉ STUDIO quotes and payments are needed depending on quantity and paper quality. However, design files are available to be shared for your own third party production needs.

color palette

Many groups of colors can “look good” together, but they may not actually function well for your brand needs. For example what if all colors are too light to see your logo on a white background or too light for reading text when you don’t want your text to be in black? Beyond just an aesthetically pleasing group, your color palette will work well together to successfully build and develop your brand.

social media start-up pack

With a new logo, you’ll want to update your social media platforms, or perhaps finally launch them! You’ll be provided with the basic profile and cover image sizes for the social media platforms of your choice like facebook, instagram, youtube, twitter, linkedin etc.

This includes around five files in .jpg format.

typography guidelines

Typography guidelines provide a plan to consistently visually communicate and organize text content. Typical focus is around a hierarchy consisting of “Headlines” “Subheadlines” and “body” text. After guidelines are created we essentially have a road-map to follow when designing additional brand collateral like business cards, stationery, social media posts, websites etc.

All fonts used in designs by LE CLÉ STUDIO will be within proper copyright permissions. Your typography guidelines will include at least one free font available for you to download personally. Others may require a license payment if you wish to have the font personally to use on your computer.

additional design elements

Additional elements are a little ambiguous, but sometimes there are opportunities for more visuals outside the brand library of logos, secondary logos, and stock images. This opening can lead to graphic patterns or edited stock images to fit the needs of your brand.
