TIER ONE

Classic

website package

The Classic Website Package fills the need for a basic web presence using the Squarespace platform. The overall content is on a minimal scale. Essential information is the main focus, think of general pages like “about”, “contact”, “testimonials” etc. Creative brand aesthetics and graphics are a core part of every website package.

TIER TWO

Deluxe

website package

The Deluxe Website Package goes beyond a basic generally informative website using the Squarespace platform. More complex forms and pages may be needed, like “blogs” and “service packages”. Introduction of a third-party integration platform, for scheduling or hiring, will classify a website within the “deluxe” category.

not sure which tier is right for you?

After a free consultation and discussion of your website needs, we make a fair assessment of where your project would fall within one of the three categories above. The evaluation is essentially based on the volume of your content and the complexity of your desired features. The factors listed below are helpful to consider throughout our website assessment and process.

Website Package Factors

visual content

If you do not have 100% of your visual content ready, we are happy to provide services to assist in visuals for your site ranging from sourcing stock images, editing existing photos, or creating custom graphics for your brand. If you’re looking for product photography or team headshots, we provide photography services for a separate fee. More information on photography here.

written content

We don’t provide written content, but we do provide organization and structure for it. Maybe you have too much content and it needs to be trimmed down, or on the other end maybe you need prompts of what written content is missing. We’re happy to help with this process but emphasize a strong need for written content to be complete before website design is started.

file management

Files can come in many formats. You may have a need for a library of downloadable PDFs resources or a large collection of images for a portfolio or project page. In addition to manually connecting each file to the website, we make sure all files maximize SEO functions.

point of contact

How many “clients” will be part of this project? The website building process can be done remotely, but sometimes it’s preferred to have an on-site meeting with a team. It’s also important to note any IT or tech related contacts we may need to be in communication with while building a website.

social media integration

To integrate social media, we need login information for each platform to complete the connection process. With your security in mind, this can be quickly done by creating a temporary password for us to use.

e-commerce

Are e-commerce capabilities a main requirement for your website? Or maybe you are interested in selling a few items in the future. Either way, we can incorporate a clean and beautiful shop page on your site. If you’re moving your website from Etsy, Shopify or Big Cartel, we can import your already existing products into your new site.

blogs

Will you have a blog on your website? If so, do you already have blog content existing on a current site? We want to consider how much content will need to be transferred to the new site. Or maybe you want to launch a blog so there are only one or two entries ready to go. Regardless, a Blog section will require extra styling and formatting.

third-party app/extensions

Extensions are a collection of third-party tools to enhance your Squarespace site. They offer special features beyond the standard offerings like scheduling and appointment booking, hiring, ad tracking, enhanced e-commerce functions and more. There are additional steps in the process to integrate these extensions into your site, we are happy to install third-party extensions of your choice, or recommend commonly used ones on other sites. Keep in mind potential charges and additional payments may be required for third-party app and extension services, such as Google G Suite, MailChimp, Acuity Scheduling, etc.

Backend Operations

We will need login information for previously purchased domain URLs. If you have an existing website please provide the login information for the current website host. If there are email addresses attached to your domain name we will need to know this to ensure we do not impact existing emails. We ask you to provide your business information, including location, hours of operation, phone number, and email address. We provide SEO services with every website package. This can come in the form of keywords, tags, competitors etc.

rush fee

Once the content is fully provided, a typical website project takes 3-4 weeks, but we’re happy to explore adjusting our schedules to accommodate your timeline.

web design process

connect + gather

We arrange a consultation to establish your website goals and needs. This can be done over the phone or in person, we want to fully understand how you envision your dream site in terms of content and functions. We then define the scope of work and timeline we require a 50% non-refundable payment for booking.

Next comes the emphasis on gathering content. All content must be provided before we start our building and designing period. Content can be shared in word documents, previous websites, google doc links, website attachments, etc. The more organized the better! We do ask that any copy or text is provided in a typed and editable format. This may take longer than a week or even less than a week. In either case, there is a clear ending point of gathering content and a clean transition to the building + designing stage of the process.

build + design

During this stage of the process we essentially “go dark” and have minimal contact with the client. We are heads-down focused on creating the perfect combination of style and function unique to every client’s content and story. This takes one to two weeks before we are ready to review the site together.

review + refine

We schedule a meeting to present your website in person or over a call. The website is password protected and will be about 75% – 99% complete as we walk through it together. We take notes and evaluate what revisions are needed to complete the project. Sometimes the client will take a few days to click through the site themselves. The revision time-frame is one week after feedback has been received.

launch!

Once final revisions have been made, the client will submit the remaining 50% payment. Upon receiving payment, the password is removed from the website and the site is officially launched!

One of the many reasons we use Squarespace is because it’s an extremely user-friendly platform and interface. This allows us to hand over your website to manage yourself, or if you prefer, we remain in charge of website admins and maintenance.
